When I started listening to this, I realized that I had heard it a long time ago but only vaguely remembered it. It's completely generic pop with guitar and harmonies; I didn't see a need to listen to all of it. The lyrics seem to simultaneously fall into two categories:
The Flying Circus are not connected to Monty Python's Flying Circus in any way - in fact, this Flying Circus predates the Pythons, as they were formed in Australia in 1968. They had some chart success in their native country, while undergoing personnel changes, and won the country-wide Hoadley's Battle of the Sounds competition in 1970. The prize for this included a ticket to Los Angeles; from there, they relocated to Toronto, thus qualifying to be included under Canadian content regulations.
"Old Enough (To Break My Heart)" was their most successful single while located in Canada, reaching #19 on the Canada-wide chart. Its followup, "Maple Lady", reached #58. The group disbanded in 1974; some of its members remained in Canada and some returned to Australia.
