During the height of Beatlemania, the Boston Pops Orchestra recorded an album of Beatles songs and their version of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" made it to the pop charts. It sounds like an orchestra playing a Beatles song, if this is something that floats your boat.
The Boston Pops Orchestra was formed in 1881; from the beginning, its reason for existence was to perform "a lighter kind of music". Starting in 1930, the Boston Pops were conducted by Arthur Fiedler (1894-1979), who remained in his post until just before his death.
The orchestra's version of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" reached #55 on the Billboard Hot 100, so it did slightly better in Toronto than elsewhere. The Boston Pops Orchestra still exists; since 1995, Keith Lockhart has been its conductor. The orchestra has recorded eight albums under his tenure.
