Tin Tin, like the Bee Gees, were from Australia; their multi-part harmony sound was very similar to that of the early Bee Gees. "Toast and Marmalade for Tea" was produced by Maurice Gibb, which added to the resemblance. It reached #20 on the Billboard pop chart.
Subsequent releases were less successful, though "Is That The Way" did manage to make it to #59 on the Billboard Hot 100. At the height of their success, Tin Tin toured with the Bee Gees. They disbanded in 1973.
This Tin Tin are not to be confused with the Tin Tin that was created by Stephen Duffy and that recorded the original version of "Kiss Me" in 1982 (which I like better than Duffy's 1985 version).
