The Paradons were a doo-wop vocal quartet from Bakersfield, California. "Diamonds and Pearls" was their first released single; it reached #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #27 on the Billboard R&B chart. They split up shortly afterwards over money issues; their record label, Milestone Records, continued releasing singles from their recording session after their breakup but none of them charted.
