This song tries its best to be groovy. In my opinion, it would have made it, except that they sang "groovy" too many times in the middle. Oh well, you can't please everybody.
I could find out nothing at all about Joe Dodo & The Groovers. They don't appear to have made any of the Billboard charts. "Groovy" was written by Gordon Charles, but I couldn't find any reference to him anywhere either.
