Les Cooper - Wiggle Wobble

November 1962 - Weeks On Chart: 6 - Highest Position: 27

This is an instrumental featuring lots of saxophone. It's harmless fun.

"Wiggle Wobble" reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was originally released as the B-side of the single release of Dig Yourself. It was later covered by Dee Dee Sharp, The Surfaris, and Sandy Nelson, among others.

Les Cooper (1921-2013) was from Norfolk, Virginia. He started his career as a doo-wop singer before recording "Wiggle Wobble" as "Les Cooper & the Soul Rockers". He didn't do anything memorable after this.

Created December 11, 2025.
